Legal Framework

Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully. They outline our commitments to clinical excellence and your responsibilities as a patient of Adjunct Medical.

Last Updated: April 2026. By accessing the Adjunct Medical portal or booking a clinical service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Nature of the Service

Adjunct Medical is a clinical technology platform that facilitates your access to independent, AHPRA-registered medical specialists. While we provide the infrastructure for your care—including health profiling, pathology coordination, and support—all medical diagnoses, treatment decisions, and prescriptions are the sole responsibility of the independent practitioners using our platform.

2. Patient Eligibility & Registration

To use Adjunct Medical, you must be at least 18 years of age and a permanent resident of Australia. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate information during registration. Any attempt to use the platform on behalf of another individual or using fraudulent identification is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination of services.

3. Clinical Baseline & Pathology

All treatment pathways at Adjunct Medical are data-driven. Patients acknowledge that diagnostic pathology (blood panels) is a non-negotiable requirement for clinical baseline assessment. Our doctors will not prescribe or recommend treatment without verified results from our accredited laboratory partners. You agree that results must be within 3 months of the consultation date to be considered valid.

4. Telehealth & Informed Consent

By using our platform, you consent to receive medical services via telehealth. You acknowledge that telehealth involves the electronic communication of your personal health information. You understand the limitations of remote assessment compared to an in-person physical examination and agree to follow all clinical instructions provided by your practitioner precisely.

5. Prescriptions & Pharmacy Partners

If a treatment is recommended, your electronic prescription will be fulfilled by our licensed Australian compounding or retail pharmacy partners. Adjunct Medical does not manufacture or sell medications directly. All therapeutic goods are regulated under the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 and the TGA guidelines. You agree that prescribed medications are for your personal use only.

6. Fees, Cancellations & Refunds

Consultation and pathology fees are payable at the time of booking. Clinical fees are for the practitioner's time and professional review; therefore, they are non-refundable once the consultation has occurred or the pathology referral has been issued. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a re-booking fee to compensate the practitioner's lost time.

7. Patient Obligations & Safety

You are responsible for the truthfulness of your medical history. You must immediately disclose any adverse reactions or changes in your health status to Adjunct Medical and your treating doctor. You acknowledge that failure to provide accurate medical data can lead to severe health risks, for which Adjunct Medical and its practitioners cannot be held liable.

8. Privacy & Data Sovereignty

We treat your medical data with the same level of care as a physical clinical setting, in strict accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Your records are stored in Australian-based, secure cloud environments. We will only share your data with your authorised clinical personnel and chosen pathology/pharmacy partners.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, including the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), Adjunct Medical and its practitioners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our liability for any breach of a condition or warranty implied by the ACL which cannot be excluded is limited to the re-supply of services or the cost of having them supplied again.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Adjunct Medical, its officers, employees, and practitioners from and against any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your access to the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your provision of inaccurate medical information.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Platform immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination, your right to use the clinical services will immediately cease.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia and the state in which the medical practitioner is registered to practice. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.

13. Changes to Terms

Adjunct Medical may update or modify these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the revised Terms on our Platform and update the “Last Updated” date at the top, or otherwise notify you (for example, via email or a notification on your account). All amendments are effective from the date they are published on the Platform (or the date of notice, if given) unless a later date is specified. By continuing to use the Services or the Platform after the Terms have been updated, you are agreeing to the revised Terms. If you do not agree with a change, you must stop using the Platform and may terminate your account as described above. These Terms (and any revised version) constitute the entire agreement between you and Adjunct Medical regarding the Services and supersede any prior agreements or understandings on the same subject matter. We encourage you to review the Terms periodically to ensure you understand the conditions of your use.
